John Kenneth is the lead guitarist of the BOWIE tribute lineup. Born and raised in Gothenburg, Sweden, John Kenneth has been playing music for more than 35 years starting out on the drums.
At the age of 11, inspired by Tom Jones, Beatles and of course David Bowie, John Kenneth started playing the guitar. Later on he toured Sweden as the drummer in a dance band and continued to play with artists such as Jonas Hellborg. For a number of years John Kenneth resided in London performing with the band Picture of You as the guitarist and the lead vocalist alongside Glenn Johansson (who later formed the british band Echobelly) – amongst many gigs the band was supporting act to Bryan Adams at the legendary Marquee Club in London.
Today John Kenneth is focused on the guitar, but he still plays the drums an does a little singing on occasion. Besides being a big fan of the French soccer club Paris Saint Germain and particularly the swedish player Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
